Project overview
Wedding Dream is a Polish company from wedding industry. The company has several services and many products to help future bridal couples organize weddings. These include a guide portal, a wedding marketplace, a wedding catalog or a wedding streaming service. Inspiration is a new service that allows users to browse hundreds of photos, divided into the right categories, to help them find their dream solutions for their wedding.
Problem statement
Organizing a wedding involves a number of decisions for the bride and groom. Choosing the style of the wedding and the related services is one of them. The style of a wedding is related to preferences that are often linked to the current trends in the wedding market. These are widely distributed on the Internet on various portals, blogs and social media. Bridal couples have the opportunity to look at the available materials and adapt them to their vision. The Inspirations Project is a place where they can not only browse through the wedding inspirations they have chosen, but also choose the right service providers or products from the store that they need to organise the wedding. This is a comprehensive service that not only pleases the eye, but also makes it easier to choose the right wedding services. The service can also be used by wedding guests and persons who help with the preparations. Here you will also find gift ideas or wedding stylings.
Understanding the user
Users of the service are mainly future brides, as well as bridal couples in general. The target group also includes people who help with the organisation of weddings and guests. During the conversations with users, we noticed that at the beginning of the wedding planning, each of them chose a style in which they wanted to organize their wedding. These styles are often associated with current trends. These, in turn, are often available on popular social media services such as Instagram and Pinterest. All users have confirmed that they use these solutions and are useful to them. Since our users are busy with a number of other things besides wedding planning – work, housework, etc., they are generally busy people, looking at wedding ideas in their spare time – often on the bus or subway to work. They want them to be inspired in a simple way and at the same time be able to find ready-made solutions for their weddings. Users need a place where they can not only browse for inspirations, but also find solutions to receive them. This would make it easier for them to find suitable services and shorten the time they spend searching, which they usually do not have much of.
Solution (What I did and why?)
The initial phase of the project included short interviews with the users and a competition analysis. The interviews with the users took place as part of a larger project, but they also asked questions about wedding inspirations and the search for solutions on the Internet.

The previous section of this case study allows you to become more familiar with the needs of the users of the target group. In return, the competition analysis included two websites – Pinterest and the dissolution of another company from the wedding industry. The scheme of these two solutions is based on creating a gallery of images associated with the given tags.
The next phase of the project was to generate ideas and plan the project phases and areas accordingly. The design had to take into account not only the inspiration page, which is visible to the bride and groom, but also the entire mechanism for managing the tag assignment to the image database. The Inspirations project is linked to the company catalogue, i.e. a database of wedding service providers. Companies that create their profiles also add photos, and these can be found on the Wedding Inspirations page that helps connect bridal couples to wedding companies. In addition, the inspirations also included products from the wedding market. By browsing for inspirations, users will not only find services, but also certain products such as clothing, gifts and accessories.
One of the first actions was to create a database with tags. Based on the previously acquired knowledge of the users, as well as research on the most important stages of wedding planning and trends, a database of more than 200 tags was created. Some of them have been assigned to the category of wedding services and products in order to automatically assign them to the general tags. In addition to automatically assigning tags to categories, users can assign tags that even more accurately describe their photos and videos to increase visibility.


The final element of the project was the creation of a user interface for the end user The inspiration page is divided into the following sections: the hero section with a simple search engine and a gallery. The gallery scheme has proven itself, as most well-known social media marketplace images are built in the same way. Users are familiar with this scheme, which is why it is the best solution. In addition to viewing the images in the gallery, the user can view each photo separately in a specially designed modal.In addition to the photo, modal also contains more detailed information about the service provider or the product. The photos associated with the offers contain information about the company name, location and other tags associated with the photo. Users can save their desired inspirations in the Wedding App or go directly to the respective vendor’s offer or to the wedding market, where they can also buy the desired products. The gallery is complemented by videos that make the page interactive, because instead of static images, GIFs appear to diversify the page.




Conclusion
The product was well received by users – within a few days it became one of the most visited websites. There was also the commitment of service providers to assign tags to photos and videos from the start via the admin panel.
